Police announce immediate redeployment of CP Audu Garba Bosso to Imo State...
The Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, has approved the redeployment of two senior police officers to new command positions in Imo and Plateau states.
According to CBI News, the changes were conveyed through a police wireless message issued from the office of the Force Secretary.
The message disclosed that CP Audu Garba Bosso has been appointed as the new Commissioner of Police for Imo State, while CP Bassey Samuel Ewah has been redeployed to serve as the Commissioner of Police in Plateau State.
The communication, dated February 3, 2026, originated from the Force Secretary’s office at the Force Headquarters in Abuja.
It was circulated to top police officials nationwide, including Deputy Inspectors-General, Assistant Inspectors-General, state Commissioners of Police, and heads of specialised formations such as Interpol, Counter-Terrorism, Mobile Police, Border Patrol, Maritime Police, the Air Wing and Bomb Disposal units, alongside other operational and administrative departments.
