Seen those posters claiming Ganduje has dumped the APC? He says they’re fake, and he’s not holding back.
Former APC National Chairman Abdullahi Ganduje has shut down claims that he’s defected to the New Democratic Congress, telling critics he’s no “nomadic politician” hopping around for personal gain, cbinews.tv reports.
The former Kano State governor dismissed the viral social media posters as “false, mischievous and politically motivated”. The clarification came in a statement released Friday by his former Commissioner for Information and Chief of Staff, Muhammad Garba.
Ganduje called the posters a “calculated campaign of misinformation” aimed at misleading the public and stirring confusion among APC members. He stressed that he has never considered leaving the APC, a party he once led as National Chairman.
“The APC remains Nigeria’s largest and most formidable political party,” he said, adding that it continues to grow under President Bola Tinubu’s leadership.
He pointed the finger at “desperate political mischief-makers” trying to damage his reputation and unsettle the ruling party. Ganduje revealed that those behind the fake posters have already been identified. If they don’t pull down the materials and stop sharing them, he warned, legal action will follow.
His message to APC members and the public is simple: ignore the posters. They don’t reflect his position or plans.
Ganduje reaffirmed his loyalty to Tinubu and the APC leadership, saying he’s committed to pushing the Renewed Hope Agenda and strengthening the party for future elections.
He also urged Nigerians to only trust official statements from him or recognised APC channels about his political moves.
