Gabriel Jesus has expressed unwavering confidence that Arsenal will secure the Premier League title this season, citing the squad’s strength and mentality.
With seven matches remaining, the Gunners lead Manchester City by nine points, putting them in a commanding position atop the league table.
Speaking on Rio Ferdinand Presents, Jesus said, “Very confident [we will win the title]. Very confident, because we are in a good place and then we have [an] amazing squad. Not only those who play a lot of games, but also the squad… I can come on and then I can decide a game, or I can play one game and then I still can decide again.”
CBI News reports that he highlighted the attacking options at Arsenal, mentioning himself, Leandro Trossard, Bukayo Saka, Noni Madueke, Gabriel Martinelli, and Kai Havertz, saying their combined talent gives him 100 percent belief that the team can achieve success this season.
Arsenal have finished as runners-up in the past three campaigns, but Jesus credited manager Mikel Arteta for reshaping the club’s mentality.
“Obviously it’s Mikko, you know, because he changed everything. Like I said, we said before, he came in a tough moment. And then to see the way we play, the situation we have now, that we can win titles… he had a lot of impact,” he said.
