If you’re travelling between Kaduna and Abuja, here’s a handy tip that could save you hours on the road and make your journey a lot smoother.
According to cbinews.tv, the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) is urging motorists plying the Kaduna–Federal Capital Territory corridor to consider using the Kachia–Bwari route as a safer and less congested alternative.
The Corps Marshal, Shehu Mohammed, made the appeal while speaking on the need for drivers to stay alert and work closely with traffic officers who are managing busy stretches of the highway.
He explained that the Kachia–Bwari route offers a more comfortable option for travellers heading into Abuja and nearby areas, especially at a time when major roads are experiencing heavier-than-usual traffic pressure.
Motorists were also reminded to stick strictly to road safety rules, with emphasis on avoiding speeding, dangerous overtaking, reckless driving, and driving under the influence.
As he put it, drivers should always put safety first, noting that many road crashes can be avoided if basic traffic rules are respected.
“Motorists should prioritise safety and obey traffic rules while avoiding speeding, dangerous overtaking, drunk driving and other traffic violations that could lead to avoidable crashes,” he said.
The FRSC further assured road users that personnel have been strategically deployed along key routes to monitor traffic flow, assist travellers, and help reduce the risk of accidents during peak movement periods.
