More Nigerians are heading home, and flight number three is touching down in Lagos at sunrise.
As reported by cbinewstv, the Federal Government has just confirmed that another plane-load of Nigerians is on the way back from South Africa.
According to Mr Kimiebi Imomotimi Ebienfa, spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the third evacuation flight took off from Johannesburg at midnight on Thursday. This one’s an Air Peace flight with 271 Nigerians on board who’ve chosen to return home voluntarily.
If all goes to plan, they’ll be landing at Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, around 5:30 a.m. on Friday, July 3, 2026.
This is all part of FG’s ongoing voluntary repatriation programme, the same one that’s already brought hundreds of Nigerians back on earlier flights. So, a warm welcome home in advance to the new arrivals.
