FA cup quarter-final draw set as seven teams secure spots in last eight.

The stage is set for a dramatic FA Cup quarter-final draw as the remaining teams in English football’s oldest competition prepare to learn their next opponents.

The draw for the last eight will take place at about 7.05pm GMT during the build-up to the fifth-round clash between West Ham United and Brentford F.C. at London Stadium.

CBI News reports that seven clubs have already secured their places in the quarter-finals, while the final slot will be decided in Monday night’s London derby between West Ham and Brentford.

Several English football heavyweights remain in contention as the battle for a place at Wembley intensifies.

Manchester City confirmed their place in the last eight after defeating Newcastle United F.C., while Liverpool F.C. advanced with a convincing victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers F.C.. Chelsea F.C. also progressed after overcoming Wrexham A.F.C..

The biggest upset of the round came from Port Vale F.C., a League One side that stunned Sunderland A.F.C. to become the lowest-ranked team remaining in the competition.

Championship side Southampton F.C. also pulled off a notable giant-killing performance by eliminating Fulham F.C. to reach the quarter-finals. Leeds United F.C. joined the last eight after defeating Norwich City F.C..

The final place in the quarter-finals will be decided by the outcome of the match between West Ham and Brentford at the London Stadium.
