If you’ve got an Enugu Air flight via Abuja, there’s been a slight change of plans.
The airline has announced it is rescheduling some of its Abuja operations following the ongoing industrial action at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport. According to a public notice issued on Tuesday, 11 August 2026, operations at the airport have been temporarily suspended after union workers blocked staff from accessing the terminal.
In a statement, Enugu Air said: “Please be informed that due to an ongoing industrial action at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, where union workers are denying staff access into the airport terminal, operations at the airport have been temporarily suspended. Consequently, some of Enugu Air flights may experience rescheduling until further notice, as we work to adjust our network.”
The airline has apologised to affected passengers and assured everyone that their safety and wellbeing remain its top priority.

This is coming amid a wider aviation dispute that has disrupted operations across the country, including those of Air Peace. The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has already appealed to aviation unions to suspend the action.
In a statement signed by Director-General Chris Najomo, the NCAA noted that a peace meeting convened by the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, could not hold last week after airline operators failed to attend. The regulator has appealed to unions to “sheathe their swords and exercise restraint” and assured travellers that flight safety remains uncompromised.
