DJ Tunez describes viral clash with Burna Boy as a physical confrontation...
Nigerian disc jockey DJ Tunez has described his recent altercation with Grammy-winning singer Burna Boy as a physical confrontation, following a viral video of the incident.
CBI News reports that the footage, which circulated widely on social media, showed both entertainers involved in a scuffle, drawing reactions from fans across the entertainment space.
Reacting on his 𝕏 handle, DJ Tunez alleged that he was attacked by multiple people during the incident, claiming Burna Boy struck him from behind.
“This N*gga Burna Boy, all signs of weakness. First off, you hit me in the back of my head without me looking, that’s some sucka sht, my boy,” he wrote.
He further claimed he defended himself despite being outnumbered.
“1 vs 10, and I stood my ground. That’s why you collected as well, when I defended myself,” he added.
Following the clash, the Nigerian DJ Association issued a statement urging disc jockeys to maintain professionalism and tolerance within the industry.
The association also announced a temporary ban on Burna Boy’s music among its members pending an investigation into the incident.
“Respect among DJs is essential,” the organisation stated, while calling on DJs nationwide to remain respectful towards artists during events.
