According to cbinews.tv, Super Eagles head coach Éric Chelle has announced separate squads for the upcoming Unity Cup and international friendlies against Poland and Portugal.
The Unity Cup list features a strong mix of home-based talents and experienced foreign-based stars, showing Chelle’s intention to test depth while keeping key players involved.
Nigeria will kick off their Unity Cup campaign against Zimbabwe in the semi-final next Tuesday before facing tougher European opposition in Poland and Portugal in June.
For the Unity Cup, familiar names like Francis Uzoho, Wilfred Ndidi, Raphael Onyedika, Moses Simon, Terem Moffi and Akor Adams made the cut, while several NPFL players also earned invitations, including stars from Ikorodu City, Enugu Rangers, Rivers United and Shooting Stars.
The squad for the Poland and Portugal friendlies is even more loaded, with top stars such as Victor Osimhen, Ademola Lookman, Alex Iwobi, Samuel Chukwueze and Calvin Bassey all included.
Fans will also be excited to see Arthur Okonkwo continue his rise with another invitation, while players like Tochukwu Nnadi and Emmanuel Fernandez continue to gain Chelle’s confidence.
The upcoming matches are expected to give Nigerians a clearer picture of Chelle’s plans ahead of future international competitions.
