According to cbinews.tv, the Benue State Police Command has recorded significant successes in its ongoing operations against criminal activities across the state, rescuing eight kidnapped victims and arresting ten suspects linked to various crimes.
Speaking at a press briefing in Makurdi, the Commissioner of Police, Cletus Nwadiogbu, said the achievements were recorded during security operations carried out between May and June this year.
The Police Commissioner explained that the eight victims were rescued from kidnappers in Orokam, Ogbadibo Local Government Area, following intelligence-led operations by security personnel.
He also disclosed that three armed bandits were neutralised during separate encounters. In addition, officers recovered 17 firearms, 36 rounds of ammunition, a military camouflage uniform, a motorcycle, charms and an axe from criminal suspects.
