No free money in Bauchi — that's the blunt message Governor Bala Mohammed just handed his brand new commissioners.

After they took the Oath of Office and Oath of Allegiance, Governor Mohammed charged them to work hand-in-hand with their permanent secretaries, follow due process to the letter, and focus on the real work — improving infrastructure, creating jobs, and raising living standards.
And for Bauchi people wondering if it’s winding down because his tenure is nearing its end, he had this to say:
“Even in the twilight of our administration, we will not relent in making the lives of the people better.”
He also pointed to recent initiatives by his administration that have boosted employment and tightened security across the state.
