Heartbreaking news out of Kaduna State — President Bola Tinubu has broken his silence after gunmen wiped out around 30 people in a quiet village, and he’s ordered security forces to hunt down every single perpetrator.
THE FULL STORY - As reported by cbinews.tv:
This is just devastating.
President Bola Tinubu has strongly condemned the horrific killing of about 30 residents in Naridon Village, Kamaru Ward in Kauru Local Government Area of Kaduna State. He called it exactly what it is — a barbaric act of terror against innocent citizens.
According to a statement issued on Tuesday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga — as covered by cbinews.tv — the attack happened in the early hours of Monday. The assailants didn't just kill, including women and children, they also set several houses ablaze.
President Tinubu didn't mince words. He described it as a cowardly and unprovoked attack on defenceless residents.
In his words: “Those who seek to destabilise the hard-fought peace and security, which Kaduna State has enjoyed in recent times, will not go unpunished.”
He's sent his heartfelt condolences to the families who lost loved ones, to Governor Uba Sani, the Kaduna State Government, and everyone in the state affected by this tragedy. He also assured the communities that the Federal Government has got their back.
And he means business. The President says he has already directed the Armed Forces, the police, and all relevant intelligence agencies to intensify operations in the area.
“I have directed the Armed Forces, police, and relevant intelligence agencies to intensify operations across the affected areas to track down the perpetrators swiftly, secure the release of abducted individuals, and restore normalcy to the region,” he said.
He doubled down on his administration's promise to fix the country's security wahala, adding: “Our administration has an unwavering commitment to strengthening security infrastructure, equipping response personnel, and neutralising criminal networks attempting to disrupt the peace of the nation.”
He also made a passionate appeal to locals to help security agencies with credible information that could stop the next attack.
“I urge our local communities to cooperate with security forces by providing actionable intelligence that would help early response efforts,” he added.
