Zulum urges residents to remain vigilant while assuring that security agencies are investigating...
Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum, has condemned the bomb explosions that struck parts of Maiduguri on Monday, calling the attacks cruel and unacceptable.
The blasts, which occurred in multiple areas of the city, left several people injured and caused panic among residents.
Emergency workers responded promptly to assist victims and secure affected locations.
In a statement, Zulum described it as wrong for anyone to target innocent people or places of worship, particularly during a period when many Muslims are observing religious activities.
He extended his sympathy to affected families and wished the injured a speedy recovery.
CBI News reports that the governor urged residents to remain calm but vigilant, advising communities to exercise caution in public spaces such as mosques, churches, markets, and other crowded areas to prevent further attacks.
He also confirmed that security agencies are actively investigating the explosions and assured that those responsible will be apprehended and made to face the law.
