It's a boy! But while the couple are posting maternity glow-ups, the timeline is doing what it does best: arguing.
So here's what happened. Nollywood actor Baba Ijesha and celebrity stylist Luminee, aka CEO Luminee, have welcomed their first child together, a baby boy named King Kagar Omiyinka. The news dropped on Instagram in June 2026, with both of them posting sweet notes thanking God and bigging each other up.
The timing is why people are talking. According to reports picked up by cbinewstv, this is coming about seven months after Baba Ijesha walked out of prison in November 2025. If you missed the backstory, he was sentenced by a Lagos High Court in 2022 for the sexual assault of a minor, and his release followed an appeal.
Naturally, the comments section turned into a whole courtroom.
Team congratulations: Yomi Fabiyi popped in with "Aya wa, a ku ajaiye", Olayinka Solomon kept it simple with "Congratulations", and influencer @Seyizyshotv was all hearts and prayers. Bobrisky also dropped a congratulatory note, which cbinews.tv flagged as part of the early wave of celeb love.
Team side-eye: Bobrisky's comment section quickly filled up. cbinews.tv highlighted replies like @Jigioluwa teasing "mummy of Lagos you no talk true for this one o", @Neeyahfab adding "she go gossip am for back", and @mercyemeks threatening an unfollow.
Moyo Lawal got dragged too for simply saying congrats, but one defender, @goldenlizzy.me, jumped in with "She only said congratulations, cursing Moyo like this is so unfair na, Habah", all captured in the cbinews.tv round-up.
The bigger debate came from familiar faces. BBNaija's Angel Smith didn't hold back, criticising Luminee for having a child with someone "who committed such a visceral crime". She'd earlier dropped a blunt "Ew" on Luminee's post, according to the same report.
Social commentator Daniel Regha weighed in too, saying the "right thing was to file for a divorce after his sentencing" and calling the whole situation unsettling, though he still wished the baby well – another moment cbinews.tv spotlighted.
Amid all the noise, plenty of supporters kept it wholesome, flooding the couple's pages with prayers for little King Kagar. The conversation is still bouncing across X, Instagram and Facebook, half "God bless your home" and half "are we forgetting history?"
