APC fixes new dates for Presidential, Governorship primaries.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has released a revised timetable and schedule of activities for the 2027 general elections.
CBI News reports that the updated schedule, announced on Monday, was signed by the party’s National Organising Secretary, Sulaiman Muhammad Argungu.
According to the timetable, the party’s presidential primary election will hold on May 23, 2026.
The governorship primaries are scheduled for May 21, while State Houses of Assembly primaries will take place on May 20.
Senate primaries are fixed for May 18, and the House of Representatives primaries will be held on May 15.
The APC said the revised schedule includes changes to timelines for screening of aspirants and appeals processes.
It also outlined directives regarding the sale of nomination forms and designated bank accounts for payments.
The party retained ₦100 million for the presidential expression of interest and nomination forms, while governorship aspirants will pay ₦50 million.
Senate aspirants are to pay ₦20 million, House of Representatives aspirants ₦10 million, and State House of Assembly aspirants ₦6 million.
The APC added that female aspirants, youths, and persons living with disabilities will pay only for the expression of interest form and 50 per cent of the nomination fee for each position.
