The stage is set for Africa's biggest gathering of financial technology stakeholders as the Nigeria Fintech Week 2026 Organising Committee formally announces its 2026 edition.
The highly anticipated event is scheduled for September 22–23, 2026, at the prestigious Wole Soyinka Centre for Culture & the Creative Arts (National Theatre), Lagos, with parallel activities slated to take place in Abuja and Port Harcourt.
This year's edition is themed “LEGACY IN MOTION: Powering the Digital Renaissance” and is expected to bring together key stakeholders, innovators, regulators, investors, and leaders across the fintech and financial services ecosystem to engage on critical issues shaping the future of the industry in Nigeria and beyond.
In a formal invitation extended to distinguished guests and ecosystem leaders, the Organising Committee stated that the event is in recognition of expertise, leadership, and contributions to the growth of the fintech space.
According to the committee, the two-day summit will feature high-level dialogues, keynote sessions, panel discussions, and networking opportunities aimed at driving innovation and sustainable growth in the digital economy.
In a major boost to the event, Emperor Chris Baywood Ibe, Executive Vice Chairman of Baywood Group and Founder of CBI Digital Media, the Owner of CBI News TV, has confirmed that he will be attending the event as a Special Guest.
Emperor Ibe, a renowned entrepreneur and media mogul, is expected to join other global leaders and share his insights on the intersection of media, technology, and the digital economy.
Organisers have called on guests to confirm their availability for either or both days of the event, noting that a formal invitation letter with further programme details has been issued.
Nigeria Fintech Week remains the nation’s flagship fintech conference, charting the course for Africa’s digital renaissance.
