Taliban condemns attacks as UN confirms deaths of women and children.
Afghan authorities said on Friday that Pakistani attacks on Kabul and eastern provinces killed four people in the capital and two in the east, marking the latest deadly clashes in the long-running conflict.
Pakistani security sources said that four terrorist camps and support infrastructure were targeted and destroyed in Kabul and frontier provinces, along with an oil storage facility at Kandahar airport.
Islamabad launched a military operation last month against its neighbour, aiming at Islamist extremists following a rise in attacks inside Pakistan.
The Taliban government has denied any involvement or the use of Afghan territory for militancy.
The UN mission in Afghanistan and Kabul police spokesman Khalid Zadran reported that four people were killed in airstrikes in the capital, including women and children.
In the eastern province of Nangahar, local official Sayed Tayeed Hammad said a woman and child were killed when a Pakistani mortar shell struck a house.
A team in the Pul-e-Charkhi area of Kabul observed one destroyed house and around a dozen others badly damaged with collapsed roofs and walls.
There was a significant police presence in the area, and visibly shocked residents were in the streets, including some with bandaged faces.
Two men and two women were killed, according to Abdul Rahim Tarakil, a local representative, who said the victims were ordinary civilians with no involvement in politics or military activity.
Abdul Wahid, a 29-year-old labourer, said he and four family members were wounded when their house was hit around 12:10 am local time on Thursday.
