Trouble brewing at Osun motor parks? Governor Adeleke says not on his watch — and he’s already called in the police.
Right, here’s the gist as reported by cbinews.tv: Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke isn’t having any of it. He’s sounded the alarm over what he calls a plot by some people to stir up chaos at motor parks across the state.
On Friday in Osogbo, his spokesperson Olawale Rasheed put out a statement saying the governor has told the Commissioner of Police to step in immediately before things get messy.
According to the intel Adeleke’s getting, certain individuals linked to opposition figures are planning to storm motor parks in local government areas across Osun. The governor didn’t mince words — he called it a “sinister agenda” and warned them to drop it, fast.
He pointed out that motor parks in Osun have been calm since 2023, and he’s determined to keep it that way. “We already have all the details,” Adeleke said. “Credible reports indicated some opposition elements in this untoward plan against the peace of Osun State.”
Bottom line? He’s told the police to take “pre-emptive action” to make sure nobody disrupts activities at the parks. “The current peace and stability of our dear state must be sustained at all costs,” he added.
So, for now, it’s a warning shot from the governor: keep the peace, or the police will be waiting.
