The African Democratic Congress (ADC) staged a protest in Abuja over the derecognition of the Senator David Mark-led leadership by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Mark who spoke during the protest, maintained that the interpretation of court judgments remains the exclusive responsibility of the judiciary, not the INEC chairman.
He warned that any attempt by the electoral body to assume such a role constitutes a serious constitutional breach and undermines the doctrine of separation of powers.
The demonstration which was led by Senator David Mark drew the presence of prominent political figures including former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar, Peter Obi, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, Rotimi Amaechi, Aminu Tambuwal, and Dino Melaye.
