The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has shifted its presidential and governorship screening exercise to Monday, while National Assembly screenings for northern aspirants will now hold in Abuja over security concerns.
The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has postponed its presidential and governorship screening exercise earlier slated for this weekend to Monday.
According to a statement issued on Saturday by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, the adjustment became necessary as the party also reviewed arrangements for National Assembly aspirants from parts of Northern Nigeria due to the prevailing security situation.
ADC said the screening for National Assembly hopefuls affected by the development would now take place in Abuja, adding that all aspirants would be contacted with fresh schedules and other important details.
The party also expressed regret over any inconvenience the postponement may cause and thanked aspirants and stakeholders for their understanding and cooperation.
