The National Para Games will be held from March 26 to April 3, 2026.

Organised by the National Sports Commission, the Games will feature contests in 15 different sports, providing a vibrant platform for athletes living with disabilities to showcase their skills at the highest national level.
According to a statement, the event continues to grow in stature as a key fixture on Nigeria’s sporting calendar.
Since its inception, the National Para Games has played a critical role in talent discovery and the advancement of inclusive sports development across the country.
It reflects Nigeria’s commitment to promoting equal opportunities and strengthening participation in para sports nationwide.
CBI News reports that the 2026 edition is expected to surpass previous outings in scale, organisation, and competitiveness, with full representation from across the federation, the Games will spotlight emerging stars and create pathways for athletes to progress to continental and global competitions.
In a significant boost to preparations, the National Youth Service Corps has partnered with the Commission by releasing its Kubwa Orientation Camp in Abuja to serve as the official Games Village. The facility will accommodate athletes and officials, providing a secure and supportive environment throughout the competition.
Officials say the collaboration underscores a broader national effort to empower young Nigerians, foster social integration, and enhance Nigeria’s sports ecosystem through inclusive participation and inter-agency cooperation.
