Shop owners and qualified applicants in Aba now have a fresh opportunity as the Abia State Government officially begins the reallocation of newly-built shops at the revamped Ekeoha Shopping Complex.
CBI News reports that the Abia State Ministry of Trade and Commerce has announced the commencement of the reallocation exercise for newly-constructed shops at the Ekeoha Shopping Complex, Aba, in partnership with Rhino Homes and Properties Limited.
According to a public statement issued on Tuesday, only individuals who have fully paid for shops under the Phase One development are eligible to participate in the exercise.
The ministry explained that the exercise covers existing shop owners affected by the redevelopment whose allocation certificates appear in the Market Register, as well as new applicants who previously obtained preliminary clearance from either the ministry or Rhino Homes and Properties Limited.
Applicants seeking full clearance and reallocation are expected to provide evidence of previous ownership or preliminary approval, alongside proof of full payment for the allocated shops.
The reallocation process is scheduled to run to May 14, 2026.
Qualified participants can complete the process online through the official portal at abiamrv.com.ng by filling out the required forms and uploading relevant documents using an active email address.
Those opting for physical verification are required to visit the GADA Building, No. 3 River Avenue, Aba, between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. on working days with both original and photocopies of their documents, including a valid national identity card.
The ministry further assured applicants that all validated allocations would be entered into the official Market Register, after which Certificates of Allocation would be issued.
The redevelopment of the Ekeoha Shopping Complex is part of the Abia State Government’s broader efforts to modernise commercial infrastructure in Aba and improve the business environment for traders and entrepreneurs.
