Faleke picks APC nomination forms for Tinubu, ahead of 2027 polls...
The lawmaker representing Ikeja Federal Constituency, James Faleke, has obtained the Expression of Interest and Nomination forms of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for President Bola Tinubu ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
CBI News reports that the development followed the payment of ₦100 million for the forms, signalling the formal commencement of Tinubu’s re-election bid.
Faleke also picked up the APC governorship nomination forms, valued at ₦50 million, for the Lagos State Deputy Governor, Obafemi Hamzat.
Hamzat is seeking to succeed Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu at the end of his tenure.
The process was declared open on Tuesday in Abuja by the APC National Organising Secretary, Suleiman Argungu, who presented the forms to Faleke.
Faleke, who is also the founder of the Tinubu Support Groups, received the documents on behalf of the aspirants.
Meanwhile, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has scheduled the presidential and National Assembly elections for January 16, 2027.
Governorship and State Houses of Assembly elections are billed for February 6, 2027.
The commission also announced that party primaries, including the resolution of disputes, will hold between April 23 and May 30, 2026.
INEC added that campaigns for presidential and National Assembly elections will commence on August 19, 2026, while those for governorship and state assembly elections will begin on September 9, 2026.
