An attack allegedly carried out by 'armed terrorists' on the village of Turan in Benue State North-central Nigeria on March 6, 2026, killed 10 Christians.
Footage filmed on Monday March 9, 202,6 showed the aftermath of the incident, with multiple houses burnt and debris scattered around the site. Villagers cleared the ashes and remains of destroyed houses.
"The incident occurred in our absence, so we cannot actually tell you the real cause," shared a local.
Those present during the attack reported experiencing profound fear.

"As the attackers entered yesterday, they chased after my brother while opening fire on us and burning houses," another villager expressed.
The Russian Foreign Ministry said on Sunday March 8, 2026 said that two members of the Russian Orthodox Church were killed in the assault, with 10 casualties reported in total.
