President Bola Tinubu has recorded a massive victory in the APC presidential primary in Rivers State, polling over 280,000 votes as results from all 23 local government areas were collated.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has emerged victorious in the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primary election in Rivers State after securing an overwhelming landslide win.
Tinubu polled a total of 280,082 votes, while his challenger, Stanley Osifo, recorded zero votes in the exercise.
The result was announced on Saturday by Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara, who served as the State Returning Officer for the APC presidential primary.
Declaring the outcome after receiving results from all 23 local government areas in the state, Fubara confirmed that Tinubu secured all votes cast during the primary.
According to him, the results reflected the official collation from across the state and would be forwarded to Abuja for the national collation process.
Fubara stated that based on the figures collated, Tinubu clearly emerged winner of the Rivers APC presidential primary.
The development marks another major boost for the president as the ruling party continues its nationwide primary process ahead of the next general election.
